"We created Villa Fornaci in order to offer our clients a calm, relaxing retreat in a beautiful location, a place in which they can switch off from the worries and stresses of their everyday lives, and to have a base from which to explore this beautiful, unspoilt region of Italy.
Born out of a desire to provide the kind of place that we ourselves would like to stay in, we searched for an idyllic location and have furnished the house in simple, fresh, contemporary country style."

All massages are tailored to the individual requirements of the client using selected essential oils: so, for deep relaxation a hot stone massage (best in winter!) may be recommended, for aching muscles a more invigorating massage, or, as in the case of most people, a deeper massage to help with aches and pains, finished off with gentler, soothing moves in order to promote relaxation.
No two massages need be the same. However, the choice is entirely yours!
Wonderfully relaxing, a treatment which (when performed regularly) can help to fill out lines and wrinkles and refresh the complexion.
Reflexology works on the principle of applying pressure to specific points of the feet in order to stimulate the various systems of the body. Very relaxing, and a wonderful way of maintaining balance in body and soul, which in turn helps the client to cope with the ups and downs of everyday life.
A traditional, relaxing and non-invasive therapy which assists the body in its natural dispersion of wax build-up in the ears. The candle treatment, along with the accompanying pressure-point massage of the head and face, helps to clear the sinuses and leaves the client feeling thoroughly relaxed.

If arriving via the A14 motorway exit Ancona Nord and then follow directions for the SS76 towards Rome for approximately 40 kms.
From both the west and the east, exit the SS76 at exit 11 for Apiro – Mergo and then follow directions to Apiro (approx 13 kms). As you approach Apiro on a long, straight stretch of road you will pass an API petrol station on your right – a little further up the road from this API (before the centre of Apiro) you will see a right turn signposted to ‘San Severino Marche’ – take this road and continue for about 4.5 kms until you see a left fork signposted ‘Moscosi 4’ – name of road is Contrada Castagna. Take this small road and continue it to where it ends in a fork junction, after a relatively steep winding descent. At the fork junction turn left but then IMMEDIATELY right into the white road of ‘Contrada Fornaci’. After approx. 400m and a little bridge you will find a small track on the left, directly before the first stone barn – turn in there, continue, and you will soon see the entrance road for Villa Fornaci ahead of you.

Surrounded by national and regional parks, Villa Fornaci is in the perfect location in Le Marche for exploring this unspoilt, varied area, revered even by Italians as being one of the most beautiful regions in the country, and which has much to offer. The 180km coastline offers Blue Flag beaches, the regional park of the Monte Conero, and picturesque small towns where you will typically find restaurants serving fresh seafood from the area. The internal part of Le Marche is a green oasis of undulating hills with ancient walled hilltop towns, rugged mountains, lush valleys and vineyards, and beautiful scenery wherever you look, with restaurants serving delicious local specialities from the surrounding countryside.
The area is very important in the world of geology, as Le Marche is known to be the area where the last dinosaurs became extinct; in fact, at walking distance to Villa Fornaci is the Coldigioco Observatory where courses are held for international university students to study this subject.
Important towns can be found within Le Marche: Urbino, the birthplace of the famous artist Raffaello; the imposing cathedral town of Loreto, and the sea-port of Ancona with ships crossing the Adriatic sea. In Umbria, the town of Perugia, with its fascinating ancient underground city and sinister history is a 75-minute drive from Villa Fornaci, and even closer is the cathedral town of Assisi, famous for its connections to Saint Francis of Assisi. The hilltop Republic of San Marino, renowned for tax-free shopping, is only a 75-minute drive from Villa Fornaci.
The Blue Flag Adriatic beaches of Numana, Sirolo and Senigallia, among others, are about 1 hours’ drive away, as are the beautiful cathedral city of Loreto and the regional park of the Monte Conero.
Closer to Villa Fornaci is Monte San Vicino, with its 1-hour walk to the top where you will be rewarded with amazing views of Le Marche all the way down to the Sibillini mountains in Abruzzo. Also nearby in the Frassassi Regional Park lie the spectacular Frassassi Caves, the largest natural caves in Europe.
The historic town of Cingoli is a short drive away, and is also known as ‘The Balcony of Le Marche’ for its panoramic views. Located on the hillside of Apiro is the Eldorado Acqua Park with its pools, slides, activities and restaurants, and the Cingoli lake has beach areas with pedaloes and boats to rent.
The area is perfect for hiking, mountain biking, horseriding, or just plain strolling, or you can pick up a bargain at one of the many designer clothing and leather goods outlets for which Le Marche is famous.
Excellent local restaurants will ensure you will not go hungry on your stay.
Le Marche has much to offer those in search of culture – the area abounds with archeological sites, museums and art galleries, ancient churches and monasteries, and walled hilltop medieval towns and villages - from small agricultural towns to those more sophisticated, for example Jesi with its Teatro Pergolesi and Macerata which has an outdoor opera festival in the summer months. Our neighbouring town of Cupramontana is the centre for the production of Verdicchio white wines and home to the only Wine Label Museum in the world. Cupramontana hosts a lively wine festival (La Sagra dell’Uva) at the beginning of October every year. Every town has its own festivals (‘sagra’) at some time during the year, for example the colourful Folklore Festival of Apiro in mid-August, when dance troupes from all corners of the world perform in the streets throughout the week. At the end of July the Medieval town of Offagna hosts an amazing week-long Medieval Festival, with music, entertainment, and the opportunity to attend a Medieval Banquet, and during the first week in September the town of Monte San Vito holds a German Beer Festival, which is incredibly popular.
